Recommended Time frame: 1Minute

Currency Pairs: GBPUSD, USDJPY, EURUSD, GBPJPY

Indicators Used: 25 EMA, 50 EMA, 100 EMA & 16 RSI (for Case 2 trades)

Since, this is a short term scalping strategy it is best to use it during the London Session or the New York Session. These sessions are known for their volatility and the direction the pairs can choose to move during the session. On this basic premise this scalping strategy is based.

First Establish the Main trend by using 50 EMA and 100 EMA. If 50 EMA is ABOVE 100 EMA then the Main Trend is Bullish and if 50 EMA is BELOW 100 EMA then Main Trend is Bearish. Once, the Main Trend is established we check the following conditions. In this Strategy we will only use Limit Orders. No Market Orders or Stop Orders.

Case 1 Scenario

1 Minute Forex Scalping Strategy Buy Entry Rules:

  • Main Trend is Bullish
  • When 25 EMA crosses ABOVE the 50 EMA and 100 EMA lines mark that Candle.
  • Also, you must make sure that 25 EMA was below 50 EMA for the previous 3-5 Candles or more before this crossover happened.

Now Drop a Buy Limit Order 1 Pip Above 25 EMA of the candle as marked above.

1 Minute Forex Scalping Strategy Sell Entry Rules:

  • Main Trend is Bearish
  • When 25 EMA crosses BELOW the 50 EMA and 100 EMA lines mark that Candle.
  • Also, you must make sure that 25 EMA was above 50 EMA for the previous 3-5 Candles or more before this crossover happened.

Now Drop a Sell Limit Order 1 Pip Below 25 EMA of the candle as marked above.

Case 2 Scenario

1 Minute Forex Scalping Strategy Buy Entry Rules:

  • Main Trend is Bearish
  • When 25 EMA crosses ABOVE the 50 EMA and RSI is above 60 but below 75 then mark that Candle.
  • Also, you must make sure that at least 4 out of last 10 candles must have closed above 25 EMA but below 100 EMA before this crossover happened.

Now Drop a Buy Limit Order 1 Pip Above 50 EMA of the candle as marked above.

Set Stop Loss for Buy Limit Order between 10-15 Pips or the last Swing Low which ever is higher but not more than 20 Pips.

Set Take Profit for Buy Limit Order to 2 times the size of your Stop Loss. That will give you a Risk:Reward ratio of 1:2.

Set Stop Loss for Sell Limit Order between 10-15 Pips or the last Swing High which ever is higher but not more than 20 Pips.

Set Take Profit for Sell Limit Order 2 times the size of your Stop Loss.

Also, Set Take Profit for Buy Limit Order to 3 times the size of your Stop Loss. That will give you a Risk:Reward ratio of 1:3.

In ‘Case 2 Scenario’ we will take advantage of a strong swing momentum. And for that we have used RSI to only target trades with momentum.
